The layout of each page is controlled by an ordinary HTML page that acts as a template and contains dynamic tags that TouristWay recognizes, interprets and treats properly in order to fill the template with data pertinent with user request and active module.
All pages are split into several components that deliver contents and can be "skinned" with their own HTML templates. For example a "search" component is meant to return a list of products according to the filters set by the user.
First step to experiment with templates is to locate them. Easiest way to do it is:
  • Login in the administration area
  • Go to "templates" menu (click "customize" link on top-left if you can't find it)
  • Switch on TouristWay workbench*, you will be taken to a "debug version" of your portal which allows you to easily edit templates, translations and browse TouristWay data model.
